Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick

I wanted to take a moment to talk about the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in As You Want Victoria. I was recently sent this lipstick to try in a Voxbox from Influenster.

Packaging-
The packaging is very nice with a sleek purple And silver tubing. The It's very secure and I had no trouble keeping the lipstick in my purse.

Color-
As You Want Victoria is a vibrant fuchsia pink. The color it's very opaque and provides rich saturation with just one swipe. It reminds me of M.A.C. Pleasure Bomb (limited edition matte lipstick) and Rimmel London's Show Off Lip Lacquer in Apocalyptic.

Performance-
This lipstick is super duper moisturizing!
I really enjoyed how my lips felt when wearing this lipstick. It was moisturizing without feeling sticky or goopy on the lips. The one downside is that because the lipstick is so moisturizing it transfers quite easily and requires multiple re-applications throughout the day, especially after eating or drinking. That being said with such rich color and comfort of wear I will be trying other colors in this range.

Where to purchase-
Rimmel London currently has 18 shades available in this range . These lipsticks along with other Rimmel London products can be purchased at Ulta and major drug stores nationwide.

Price- $6.79-$6.99

Pros:
Moisturizing
Vibrant color
Large range of shades
Easily accessible
Affordable

Cons:
Easy transfer
Requires multiple reapplications

Running Late

I have to admit that for social events I am ALWAYS running late. For work I mostly stay on top of the time crunch, but I have my days. On days like today I can't help hitting the snooze a few times, which results in the shorter shower or few minutes late dilema. I'm a sucker for a long steamy shower, so I was of course a few minutes late.

While I'd love to say that a wng is the perfect style for when I'm crunched for time, suprisingly it really isn't. I have to do my WNG in sections, and shingle in the product in order to avoid SSKs and tangles. Styling my hair in sections while I'm already late is not a good look. So, on days like these I rely on the bun. Buns are so quick, so simple, and with a few tweaks you can make them as elegant as you want (not saying that mine is elegant, it's not). Today I went with a deep diagonal part, and sort of a swoop to one side. I used a stretched out good ouchless headband for my ponytail and another to secure the actual bun. While not the best it still manages to look pretty neet and professional, especially with my nerdy glasses :)

What's your go to style when you're short on time?

Glamour and Grenadine

This past weekend/week have been fun. For date night we had dinner at Texas de Brazil. We had both been wanting to try it out and the food did not disappoint. Alex and I did some separate errands on Saturday morning followed by a late lunch at Bahama Breeze. I don't recommend a trip there if you are TRULY craving Caribbean food. But, if you just want something tasty go for it. My turkey burger and chowder were delish!

On Saturday  I also made a trip to Ulta for their 21 days of beauty promo to stock up on Butter London (haul, haul, haul!). I didn't know that there was a limit of 2 per person, but the polish fairies smiled on me and I got the amount that I went in for. #winning

Sunday's sermon was speaking to me so hard! Have you ever felt like the word was tailored specifically for you? I took away so much that day.

I wanted  floral arrangements for our  living room to mask the outlets and wifi connection over the fireplace (honestly, why they put it there baffles me). Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that I liked that wasn't ridiculously overpriced so I made my own.

Lastly, have you seen the beautiful and talented Kerry Washington in the latest Glamour? She is giving face, body, confidence...everything! Werk hunty!!!

Le Sigh

That is exactly how I feel about unpacking.

The packers/movers were excellent getting our things here from Spain. Nothing was damaged, and everything that was taken apart was put back together without any problems. I just don't like unpacking and re-organizing everything, especially when the new space is a different size (much bigger than our Spanish Villa in this case), or when I can't remember exactly how I had everything before (as in the case of my cosmetics). I mean I haven't seen this stuff since May people! That was 4 months without my goodies. Yes, four months...we just got our stuff from Spain in the beginning of August.

We're still waiting on the things we left stored in the U.S. to be delivered (master bedroom set, dining room set, some tools, and garden equipment). I'm glad we don't have any guests at the moment because were sleeping in the guest room for now.

You couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I found the boxes with my cosmetics, nail polish, and hair goodies. I've got the hair and and nail polish sorted, but still working on the cosmetics. I'm waiting on some storage solutions from The Container Store
